The small moves that keep your money. One set per brick.

Not theory, and not a budget you have to maintain. Money Moves is a set of concrete things you can go and do — read one pay stub, ask one question, file one form — each one attached to the MoneyBrick it belongs to, so you always know which part of the wall you are working on.

What counts as a move

If you cannot finish it in one sitting, it is not a move.

A brick teaches you a subject. A move is one thing you can do today and be done with. Every one of them says up front what it costs you in time — a few minutes, one call, one form, an afternoon, or once a year — because the reason good money advice goes undone is almost never that somebody disagreed with it.

You will not find a dollar figure attached to any of them. We have not measured what these moves save you and neither has anybody else, so quoting a number would mean inventing one. What each move states is the mechanism — where the money is going and what closes the gap.

Three places a move comes from, and the page always says which.

  • Written by MoneyBricks

The ones we wrote and edited ourselves. Most of the set.

  • Sourced to the agency

Where a move turns on a rule — a filing deadline, a right you hold, a program you may qualify for — it cites the federal agency that publishes it, and you can open the source.

  • From the crew

Moves that came out of the Brickheads forum, picked by a moderator and credited to the member who posted them. Real experience, never official advice, and it never changes the lesson.

Open to everyone

Start with these. No account, nothing to join.

These are whole moves, not the first lines of them. Do one this week and you have already got something out of this page.

Inside, at Core and up

Every brick has its own set. All thirty of them.

Moves are grouped the way the curriculum is — six chapters, thirty bricks — so the work you are already doing on a brick tells you which moves to read next. Members also see what the crew added to each one.

Money Moves opens at Core.

It is included in every paid plan, and the 14-day trial opens the whole set. If you are already a member, it is in your Learn menu.
