The five Building Stages

Each Stage maps to how much of the wall you’ve built. You’re always in one, and the next brick is always within reach.

Stage 4 is what the build is for. Stage 5 is what you do once you have it.

  1. Stage 1

    Financial Safety

    Paycheck to paycheck. No savings cushion. Nothing standing between you and a health bill or a few weeks off work. High-interest debt eating your cash flow. It feels like you're digging a hole instead of building something.

  2. Stage 2

    Financial Control

    Emergency fund started. The paycheck-to-paycheck cycle is breaking. Debt payments are going out. The budget exists but still feels fragile. The first solid ground is starting to emerge.

  4. Stage 4

    Financial Independence

  5. Stage 5

    Financial Legacy

    Once you’re there

    Financially independent, or on a clear path to it. Passive income streams active. Legacy plan complete. Money fully aligned with what you worked your whole life to build.

Stage 4, Financial Independence, is the defining target. It's where compound interest flips from adversary to ally, where net worth curves upward, and where every dollar is building the future instead of covering the present.
